CURT class 1 ball mounts are designed for a variety of lightweight towing applications. For basic utility trailers, canoe haulers and other light-duty trailers, a class 1 ball mount gets the job done. CURT class 1 ball mounts are designed to complement our class 1 trailer hitches. They feature a 1 1/4” x 1 1/4” shank and have a gross trailer weight rating up to 2,000 lbs. They can also handle a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs. Class 1 ball mounts come in several different styles, offering a range of shank lengths and drop and rise options, though all are fitted with a 3/4” hole to accept a trailer ball with a 3/4” shank diameter. A class 1 ball mount is typically used on a compact car, sedan, minivan or small crossover SUV, but it can be used on virtually any trailer hitch with a 1 1/4” x 1 1/4” receiver tube, as long as gross trailer weight does not exceed 2,000 lbs.

To protect our class 1 ball mounts from corrosion, UV damage and scratches, we coat each one in a powder coat of high-gloss black for a sharp finish.
